PLASTIC BAGS: China and Austrialia set to regulate plastic bags

Plastic bags are unnecessary and provide a false sense of need. I try to always carry a canvas bag when doing the consumer thing. Anyhow, both China and Austrialia will ban plastic bags. Australian Environment Minister Peter Garrett noted that:
“There are some 4 billion of these plastic bags floating around the place, getting into landfills, ending up affecting our wildlife, and showing up on our beaches while we are on holidays,”….
