Cartogram showing people living with HIV/AIDS. The bulk of Africa’s population is living with HIV/AIDS but it has the least access to natural resources to reduce the burden and stress the disease inflicts on political and social workings.
Cartogram showing energy consumption (including oil)
Cartogram showing who has the oil resources. Compare the size of Kuwait with the United States in terms of who has the oil resources. Compare the cartogram above with the cartogram below. The United States is much bigger. The comparison illustrates our dependence on a nonrenewable source imported from another country. Shouldn’t we be developing our own renewable resources?
Cartogram showing greenhouse gas emissions. Of course, if you use a lot of oil you should be producing a lot of greenhouse gases.
