I’ve always disliked Michele Bachmann’s stance on the environment, especially her viewpoints on climate change and drilling in ANWR. I watched Chris Matthews’s interview with the Minnesota Republican congresswoman, and I was shocked by her radicalism. Michele Bachmann represents what our country doesn’t need. In an interview with Chris Matthews, Michele Bachmann appealed for neoMcCarthyism:

Of course, Michele Bachmann is a proponent of domestic drilling, despite it being completely unsustainable:

Chris Matthews will probably soon need to find another line of work – he has drafted the fumes of buddy Keith Obermann into a free fall off the cliff of journalistic integrity (a leap he made with glee). As for energy policy, all U.S. energy is good U.S. energy – oil and the like will bridge the gap until a time when we are better able to efficiently offset fossil fuels for alternative fuels – the U.S. cannot function on wind and solar alone (this will never be a possibility). If you believe the pictures you are provided by the MSM of ANWR, you liken it to a pristine and fragile ecosystem of beautiful fauna and flora – it ain’t. It is a barren area of 2000 acres within a 19.5 million acre tract (it’s the size of a big airport). But, if the democrats win the election, there’s not likely to be much drilling of any sort – to that point, Joe Biden was 1 of 4 senators in 1973 to vote against the Alaskan pipeline (wow).
Chris Matthews questioned Michele Bachmann and she hung herself.
We need to find alternatives now, not later.
[the U.S. cannot function on wind and solar alone (this will never be a possibility)] – a very broad statement, but solar and wind can supply a lot of energy to the Untied States. The potential is huge, and while we use solar and wind we can save our fossil fuels.
Your assessment on ANWR is wrong.
