While driving during the Christmas holidays, I caught an interesting Diane Rehm interview with author Jon Katz. Jon discussed his book entitled “Izzy and Lenore,” and how some dogs seem to appear during defining times in our lives—almost like a spiritual guide. I recommend this touching Diane Rehm Show, and although I haven’t read Katz’s book, it seems like it would be a great read. From The Diane Rehm Show:
Author Jon Katz is best known for his stories about the dogs in his life and his decision to move to a farm in upstate New York. In a new book, he shares why he let another troubled dog into his life and how they both helped those in hospice care. And he once again marvels at the powerful and complex relationship between dogs and humans.
