REEL BIG FISH: Fisherman lands 30-pound goldfish

According to the Mail Online, French angler Raphael Biagini landed a 30-pound goldfish from a lake located in southern France:

It took Raphael Biagini ten minutes to reel the creature out of a lake in the south of France – moments after fellow anglers told him they had spent six years trying to snare the legendary ‘giant goldfish’.

The extraordinary fish was released back into the lake.

ANIMALS: Record oyster found

A monster 3lb oyster was found in the bottom of a “box of mixed fish” that was purchased by a fishmonger in Plymouth, England.  The oyster was subsequently “donated to the Mevagissey Sealife Aquarium.”

The massive bivalve—shown below—was affectionately named “Shelly.”
