Attorney General Eric Holder recently compared the United States to a “nation of cowards” regarding race relations and race issues. His observations are correct, and his statement comes after outcries over a cartoon by Sean Delonas that was published in the New York Post (you can see more of Sean Delonas’s classy caricatures here).
Growing up in the south, there is no doubt that the impacts of racism and segregation still exist, as there is no doubt that racism still exists, and it isn’t difficult to find. Likewise, the treatment of other minority groups such as gays and lesbians in this country is unconscionable.
