OFF TOPIC: Bill O’Reilly accuses former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan of spin while he spins

without comments

According to Bill O’Reilly of Fox News, being a Bush hater implies that one also carries an America hater membership card as well. Of course, this analysis is false. The American people that did not support the invasion of Iraq did and still do care about America.

Bill O’Reilly is crazy and a zombie. He accuses former White House Press and Bush insider Secretary Scott McClellan who wrote a critical and wound inflicting book of the Bush Administration’s handling of the Iraq invasion and war of playing into the hands of Bush haters and America haters. Mr. O’Reilly’s road map for his interview with McClellan is meticulously crafted to try to trap McClellan but McClellan responds with obvious truths while O’Reilly seems to be stuck in 2003. O’Reilly blames Colon Powell for the disorder too. However, O’Reilly’s so-called Bush haters were correct from the beginning about the war. Many of us were not for the invasion of Iraq because we are sole pacifists. We were against the invasion of Iraq because the evidence weighed against the costs and risks made absolutely no sense. There was no convincing or hard evidence for any of the Bush Administration’s claims against Saddam Hussein. The judgment of those supporting the invasion of Iraq was gravely and massively flawed. Furthermore, anyone trying to support our current occupation in Iraq or denying the obvious blunder and propaganda that led up to the Iraq invasion cannot analytically put 2 + 2 to get 4.

OFF TOPIC: Keith Olbermann to Bush: "This War Is Not About You…Shut The Hell Up!"

without comments

Keith Olbermann passionately summarizes President Bush’s genesis and subsequent handling or management of the Iraq War in the video below.

When asked about the blunders of the Iraq War President Bush is quick to pass the buck or responsibility to other folks. What this President and many of his cronies fear most is the American people electing a Democratic President such as Barack Obama this fall and a succeeding investigation for the truth. There has already been a laundry list of scams, shams and swindling.

President Bush to our country’s detriment probably practices impositionalism more than any other American president has before him. This management style is why many compare him to a dictator or quasi-dictator if you think dictator is too strong of a word.

Anyhow, I am proud that I did not vote for this man twice. I did not vote for him just because I am a democrat but he looked like damaged goods from the beginning. Furthermore, I am proud not to have supported the invasion of Iraq. Amazingly, all the evidence that the antiwar protesters cited turned out to be the truth. I was ridiculed by some of my fellow Americans for my hard stance against invading Iraq and was even called a terrorist and unpatriotic. Bulling is behavior that the Bush presidency feeds from and thrives. Nonetheless as the famed idiom states: you reap what you sow.

OFF TOPIC: Bill O’Reilly meltdown resurfaces

without comments

Bill O’Reilly must be an extremely charming boss or colleague. My favorite part is at 00:30 when he stands up to do the suit shake to regain his composure but then sits back down and drops uncontrollable f-bombs. He does not appear to be much of a Sting fan either. In my opinion, it is less stressful on the liberal side of the fence. Having to walk that tight narrow conservative path everyday must be so excruciating. Can you imagine the daily tension of having to appear perfect and not hypocritical? Via David Haz Blog:

LOFL: Eating peanut butter, jelly and people sandwiches

“The View” co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck goes to the extreme by equating eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to eating people. Did I miss something? She’s a certified mess.

OFF TOPIC: Charmayne Brown, black reporter, attacked on camera by white family yelling racial slurs in South Carolina

without comments

This posting is off topic for my blog but sometimes I come across extraordinary non-environmental stories that are worth blogging about. What is most disturbing, frustrating and true to the meaning of the word ignorant is that most people do not know they live in ignorance. They are prisoners of social constructs. When people discriminate or behave racist they are mimicking what was taught to them, which represents the struggle to repress minorities like blacks or homosexuals. It is a complex scam and a disease. People really do reap what they sow and these people that attacked this woman ooze with ignorance and probably live a marginal existence. From The Huffington Post:

Three people upset that a news crew was reporting on the arrest of a relative attacked the television reporter and yelled racial slurs at her and a photographer, authorities said Tuesday.

The family members, all white, began yelling and charged at black WSPA-TV reporter Charmayne Brown while she was standing in the street near the family’s home in Union, said news director Alex Bongiorno.

Brown was punched in the head, and black cameraman Ti Barnes was also struck as he tried to pull family members off Brown, Bongiorno said. A video of the attack shows Brown, who wasn’t seriously injured, defending herself.

Not everyone agrees with my analysis as “StuCop” on The Huffington Post notes that he is:

not being racist at all…i’m saying watch the complete unedited video from the beginning. it’s the reporter that rushes around her camera man and throws a punch. the reporter is attacking. doesn’t matter if she’s black or white…she rushes around her camerman and throws a punch…she is instigating…period.

at the end of the unedited video she continues to push and try to move back towards the women she was fighting with as the cameraman tried to block her from re-engaging in fighting…all the while verbally escalating the situation.

how is logically watching and interpreting the entire video being racist?

The woman being attacked should be able to use reasonable force when confronted in a dangerous or threatening situation. Furthermore, any reasonable person could conclude from the video evidence that she did not throw the first punch or antagonized the situation. There is no “re-engaging.” Any normal person would be scared for their life if confronted by a mob of angry persons. There was no cooling off period between the incident that allowed the victim to further antagonize or engage the situation further. It all seems continuous to me. The situation could have become a homicide if not remedied by on lookers and the police.

Legally, throwing punches “very early on” is much different than throwing the first punch which it doesn’t look like she did. She was charged by a large woman and confronted aggressively by multiple persons. The victim was not antagonizing the situation at all but protecting herself as any reasonable person would do given the same situation. This video could prove both criminal and tortious assault and battery.

OFF TOPIC: New York Giants upset the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII

without comments

Giants 17, Patriots 14.

From The New York Times:

Game over: Weird ending. …Belichick has left the field. The Giants, I think, still have to kneel on the ball. Belichick is already up the tunnel in the locker room. …Still have not run the final play. Manning finished with 254 passing yards and 2 TDs. …There it is. He kneels. The game is finally over.

4Q, :10: An amazing ballgame. And such an exciting fourth quarter. Three lead changes. …Brady in the gun, he wants to pass, stteps up, goes deep. INCOMPLETE! Still two seconds left. No, one second. Belichick is jogging to midfield. The game is over, but is the game over?
